Grandpa, What Did You Do In The War?

In  poetry  a verse is a paragraph. In thepoem verses 2-4 made me feel sad and scared because he shot people that nearly shot him. In verses 6-8 made me feel emotional.Grandpa didn't tell his grandson all the memories that came to his mind because most of the memories were bad memories.

The most thing I found dificult was reading and explaning it, And the most thing i found easy was to make it to the blog.

MOTAT

Going to MOTAT

On the 13 May 2015 guess what i did at MOTAT,

First, Glenbrae School seniors had a day to go to MOTAT to have a trip. All senior went to the hall. We have to go school by 8:30. When we got to the hall we all sat down in the hall in our room class. The teacher gives out the name tags. It have your name on  it. Its was sunny that time. There came two buses waiting for us. All of glenbrae school kids went on a bus.

             

When we got there we hopped of the bus. But before we got of the bus we said thank you to the bus driver. We all went to the eating room. The instructors told us the rules for MOTAT. After that we had our own morning tea. We shared lunches too. They put us to 4-5 groups. There were helpers there to. All of the helpers had a map to know where to go. First my group went to the telephone place. Then we went to the mirror maze but one of my friend got hurt, he ran into the mirror. Afterwards we went to the underground tunnel. When everybody was finished they came to the eating room.

We got our bags and got ready to go home.We head back to the bus, and the bus driver took us home safely.

Three things I liked the best were when we got to ride in the tram, when we went to the telephone place, and most of all I like was the mirror maze.

On April 1915 a large crowd gathered up at wellington glasgow Wharf. The closest building are are decorated with flags. There was a band there. I think there were 20-or-50 nurses at war. The soldiers are on there way to the war that is raging in.

One of the nurses was helping the wounded people. Edna Pengelly is one of the nurses that go on the battlefield while the battle is still going. She looks after heaps of people thats wounded. Edna Pengelly can make people calm if there hands or legs got shoot of.

Edna applied to goon active service in January 1915, and three months later, she sailed away on the vast and boundless ocean. People wrote a note to Edna Pengelly to go help the wounded people at western front.

Some people got decisis called dysentery. It it bad for people. Shrapnel is sore. Shrapnel means like a bullet hit you in war. Lots of people died in war.

MAKING ANZAC COOKIES

1. Wash your hands         

2. Get ingredients ready

3. Preheat oven to 180

4. Get trays out lay baking paper on baking trays

5. Measure the butter and golden syrup microwave safe bowl.

6. We put ⅘ butter and golden syrup in the microwave

7. Get two tablespoons hot water with 1/2 baking soda

8. Mix butter and baking soda with the dry ingredients.

9. Then you roll it up into small pieces.

10. You put it in the oven for 15 minutes

On the 7 of april 2015 I took a screenshot of my points on IXL. On IXL it’s like a math quiz when you play it. When you go on it, it shows  a number fraction. You have to answer that fraction  and try to get it right. When you put down the answer you have to press enter or click submit. I learned that fractions help you alot. Like when you're counting money, fraction can help too.

On the 19 April 2015 I, my family, and my cousin Baba Had a big day.

At the starting of the day on 19 April 2015 we kids and family and my cousin were having fun. Then Baba said we should play a game. So he decided to play cod for real life. Cod means call of duty. We all got a stick and pretended it was guns. Before we started a call came on the phone. We rushed inside to get it. When we picked it up, Baba’s dad asked if he wants to sleep here for one day, and he said YES!!! When we woke up the next morning Baba,s mum and dad came to pick him up. He got his clothes ready and when he brush his teeth he got his stuff and went.

On the 18 April 2015 we went to xtreme bowling. We were excited to go there. When we got there we saw heaps of games. After a while my mum got some bowling shoes for me and my brothers. When we got to the bowling center we started to bowl. I saw my friend Danny and when we got to the bowling center Danny left with her Aunty.My brother Sam came first. But i came last. I didn’t win but i had lots of fun. It was late and we were tired. My dad was tired to but we put music to stay awake.

On the fifth of May 2015 I Loto and my class Room 7 went to play basketball. We played basketball at glenbrae school at the senior court.  

First, at basketball we did a warm up like, dribbling the ball back and forth, and also making the ball go around your legs and stomach. That was our warm up. Then we played a game called dribble tag. You have to have a partner and your not aloud to run just walk fast. It was a fun game.

We still had time to play a game so the coach decided to play ship shore shark. We have to stand in the middle of the court and when the coach says ship we go right, when she says shore we go left, and when she says shark we go either way, and nobody won. People say it was hard but others’ say it was fun and tiring.

Then we had 20 more minutes left. The coach said the last game we are going to play is octopus. This is how we play octopus, the taggers needed to dribble the ball while they're running and tagging us, and if the taggers touch you, you have to go back to the spot that you were tagged and stand there and be a seaweed by moving your arms around and standing in the same spot.

Finally we come to the end, Room 7 and I were told to come to the centre of the court and the coach said that we were finished for the day. After that Room 7 were lining up to go back to class.
