Te Reo Maori - Summary (Social Studies)

Back in the 1900s, most of the Te Reo Maori language was prohibited to
be taught in schools. People just couldn’t be bothered teaching the language.
It was slowly dying as years went by. The history behind this was that the
indigenous people who were the founder of the land were in fact the Maori
people. But most of us intend to forget this language and speak english.
But nowadays the attitude of the language has changed and now it is being
taught in schools, been made into songs, raps, and many other things.Image result for te reo maori logo
